Great Lakes Christian College is introducing a new ministry scholarship, named for retiring professor of Theology Dan Cameron.
Great Lakes Christian College is establishing a new scholarship for students who are pursuing vocational ministry—the Dan Cameron Ministry Scholarship. The scholarship will encourage students to finish their education and pursue their career in the church or in a church-related career.
The scholarship is named for Dan Cameron, who is retiring this year after serving as a professor of theology at Great Lakes for years. Cameron is passionate about training the next generation of Christian leaders, and the scholarship will seek to continue his legacy of faithful instruction.
The college is now accepting donations to the scholarship. Any gifts given before June 1 will be available for students during the 2017-18 school year. Gifts can also be mailed to the college at:
Great Lakes Christian College
6211 W. Willow Highway
Delta Township, MI 48917
The college asks that any gift for the scholarship be memoed "Cameron Scholarship" in order for that money to be put toward the scholarship.
The college will be celebrating Cameron's service to the school at a special event on Friday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Woodard Chapel on campus. There will be a dessert buffet and program honoring Cameron.
