Campus Life Coordinator
The Department of Residence Life in the Division of Student Development at Great Lakes Christian College announces an opening for the position of Campus Life Coordinator. This position seeks to advance the mission of Great Lakes Christian College through fostering living-learning environments conducive to spiritual formation, academic success, and interpersonal relationships within an all-female residence hall. As a part-time, 10 month, live-in, professional employee, responsibilities include: recruitment, selection, training, supervision and evaluation of undergraduate student staff members; administration of residential students in an the female residence hall, service as an active member of the Residence Life team.
Required Qualifications include: Teaching/mentoring experience; the ability to model faith journey; excellent interpersonal and counseling abilities; strong administrative abilities; the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the stages of student development and the importance of holistic education; supervisory and decision making abilities; professional commitment to diversity; strong verbal and written communication abilities, and enthusiastic commitment to the student development profession. Candidates must demonstrate a deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and must also possess a strong interest in discipleship and personal experience in working with college students.
Commitment to the intellectual, faith, and interpersonal development of students and to the mission and identity of Great Lakes Christian College is also required.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree with post undergraduate residence life or counseling experience is required. A Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling or related field is preferred.
