Are you a *student of God*? What differentiates the student of God's Word from other believers is the drive to find "The Truth" in God's Word. Being a Christian is the single most important element in your identity. You are saved and a child a God. You probably pray occasionally, attend church, believe in Christ and God's awesome power and saving grace. But to be a **student of God** and His Word is very intentional. Deciding to attend a Bible College is also very intentional. Immersing yourself in the Word in order to become a **student of God** is no small decision. However, it could be one of the most important ones you will make in order to fulfill God's plan for your life. A student of God can answer the following questions - "what doth the LORD require of thee?" (Micah 6:6-8) - "what doth the LORD desire?" (Hosea 6:6) - "what is the will of the LORD?" (2 Peter 3:9) - "what is the LORD'S pleasure?" (Revelation 4:11) ### Be a Student of the Word In order to be a student of God, you must become a student of His Word. The best way to learn about God is to study His Word. You don't necessarily have to take special classes, join a bible study or attend a Christian College, but here at Great Lakes Christian College, you will become more familiar with the Bible and all of God's teaching as you prepare to become a Servant Leader. However, deciding to follow the teachings of Jesus is not just a four-year commitment. It is a life-long journey and goal. A degree from a Bible College will prepare you and instruct you in how to study The Word and apply it to your life and to those around you, for the rest of your life. A [Bible Theology Degree](https://www.glcc.edu/what-is-a-bible-theology-degree/) is one way to continue becoming a student of God. ### Online Courses Great Lakes also offers [online courses](https://www.glcc.edu/online-courses/) to continue studying God's Word.  Choose from 2 & 4 Year Accelerated Online Courses in Biblical Theology and Christian Leadership & Communication.
