GLCC Represented Well at Stone-Campbell Journal Conference

GLCC made another strong showing at the Stone-Campbell Journal conference in Knoxville, TN, this year. This conference is, perhaps, THE academic think tank of the Restoration Movement. Scholars, ministers, and leading students of all three branches of the Stone-Campbell tradition attend. A group of 9 GLCC students and faculty attended this year. They met up with about 8 alumni who also participated. Professors Matt Allison and Ron Peters delivered parallel session papers, as did alumnus Sam Long. Alumnus Aaron Woods was a finalist in the graduate student paper competition and Professor John Nugent delivered a plenary address. It is wonderful to see faculty and alumni representing GLCC in this way and contributing to wider conversations that impact the direction of the Stone-Campbell Movement.
